working at the ca-- ...subway wash

[The Battle Subway may not exist on the island, but there's still the subway car Nobori(or Ingo, either works for him) arrived in outside his house. Now that he's done being a Lampent, Nobori has, out of duty (or perhaps boredom), taken to fixing it up as best he can, which really just means upkeep ( Read more... )

[Walkin' walkin' out with our flower dinosaur... oh! It's a cluttered subway car.]

That's a lot of stuff you've got there, mister! It's kind of late for spring cleaning, though.

[It is the most messy. Nobori would be ashamed if he knew it wasn't the island trolling.]

It wasn't gathered on purpose, I assure you, miss. [Spring cleaning? Hah. Cute.] That may be so, but I'd be loathe to leave it there despite the tardiness.

[Axeface Dragon tilts its head at flowery dinosaur! Hi there.]

You could just say you don't like the mess. [Sympathetically:] If the Island's picking on you, is there any way I can help you out?

[Hello there, foreign dinosaur! Clover blinks and quirks his head Mr. Axeface. He's... never seen your species before!]

[But if he was less verbose, there would be a stronger chance of being mistaken for his brother...!] Well, you could take something from the piles, if you'd like; I am unsure of what to do with them once I clean them out of the car... [There's more than just crap in those piles, promise.

Ms. Axeface, actually! but that's okay, you look like a girl but you're not and we look like a boy but we're not. She's never seen one of you, either... Sorry, Master, but she's abandoning her task to go check out Mr. Flowers.]

[...oh, hey, we haven't seen you in a while...]

...I assume this is the other one's fault?

[Oh, it's Judith! Long time no see. Chandelure flares its... fire arm things... in greeting.]

No, surprisingly. It's actually the Island's doing, this time. [omg where are all these pokeballs even coming from]

[hey sup Chandelure, you're... not quite petable but well, you are acknowledged at the very least]

Is it? Did it just decide to store all its spare things in there...?

[Well, she wasn't going to stop and get in the way, but then she accidentally stepped on this little rubber Ducklett. Naturally, she feels bad about that, so she picks it up and starts cleaning it off.

...On her scarf.]

[dhfjkg don't do that...! It's not worth it! It's just a rubber duck!]

Er... Sorry, miss. [The ground is a mess here...]

[OF COURSE IT'S WORTH IT. This little thing is adorable and and it's her fault it got extra dirty and. The "miss" shakes her head, it's not like your cleaning is inconveniencing her or anything...]

I'm sorry. [But she will apologize for stepping on the poor rubber duckling.]

No need to be. I wasn't intending on keeping it...

[Oops, yeah, let's not be tripping over this box of stuff here... oh hey that's a cool wristwatch thing. Broken, though, now that we're getting a closer look at it.]

Are you throwing things out?

[He would feel so bad if you tripped over it 8(]

I am. [RUBBER DUCKS GALORE. He looks mildly embarrassed.] I'm unsure of where they came from, but I'm certainly not keeping them...

[Well, she almost did, but caught herself. So don't feel bad yet. But seriously, you're just tossing a bunch of stuff you didn't even know was there? SUCH A WASTE. A good opportunity for passerbys, though.]

Really? If you're not, can I take some? [Those duckies are cute, but she's more interested in stuff like this wristwatch. Stuff that might be repairable.]

[He really doesn't need any of this, though... better off giving it to people who want it, like yourself.] Be my guest. Take anything you'd like.

...WHY YOU, AMBER? :|a hookorbycrook July 6 2011, 06:37:10 UTC
[Amber isn't one to go wandering the island aimlessly - he tends to stick close to Angie's house, where he's taken up residence. That typically means he travels one path to the beach and back. But curiosity has finally kicked in and Amber's finally gone off searching for some of those strange new Pokemon he's been hearing about. His interest in Bug-types has led him through the forest today.]

[Hopefully you don't mind a few Volbeats poking through your things, Nobori. Their trainer will appear shortly and dismiss the area without so much as a second glance.] Nothing here either. [The Volbeats have discovered the rubber Duckletts and are currently playing with those. Amber doesn't seem amused.]

[It takes him a moment to notice the strange Pokemon - one that looks like... a purple chandelier and another that appears to be some sort of dragon or something. Amber does look mildly interested in regards to those two, though it seems his Volbeats couldn't care less.] Those are interesting Pokemon.

shdgh well WHY NOT flopfrown July 6 2011, 06:52:55 UTC
[Chandelure notices the newcomers before his master does; grinning as well as it can, it swoops closer to Amber, fires flickering almost menacingly. But don't worry, he's just a troll, and once Nobori notices he waves the Pokémon away.]

Thank you. They're native to Unova. [A cursory glace at yours as he drops yet another box of stuff outside. Bug-types...?]

BUT IT'S AMBER. He hates people. :| hookorbycrook July 6 2011, 07:04:22 UTC
[What is that thing. No, seriously, what the hell is it? Is it a Fire-type? Amber does back away when it gets closer - usually if a Pokemon gets anywhere near you it's going to attack... Oh, but it seems as though this one was just being friendly or something. Odd.]

Unova? [Never heard of it.] Is it a Fire-type? [One of the Volbeats immediately makes a bee-line pun intended for the newest box and begins searching through it. Amber doesn't seem to notice what his Pokemon are up to, nor does he comment on Nobori's glance toward them.]

Not today, apparently. |D Or at least to less of a degree? flopfrown July 6 2011, 14:46:43 UTC
[badum-tish!! Oh dear-- curious little things, aren't they. Well, that's fine. Who knows what's in that box, though.] Yes-- judging by your Pokémon here, it's a region far away from yours.

[And then, the Pokémon itself:] Chandelure, a dual Ghost/Fire type. Known for hypnotizing opponents with its flame. [And eating people's spirits, but uh. His hasn't. that he knows of]
