[If you happen to be around the forest today, you might see what could be considered an odd sight. It's Iris; with a book in hand. She's scanning over the pages of the book for a few moments, trying to decide another course of action.]

[Geechisu is very cautious about spending time out in the open. He is never without one of his Psychic-types by his side - they can typically tell if someone would pose a threat to him. Sigilyph is his usual choice, and the odd bird is circling him today as he strolls through the forest. He's not looking for anyone in particular, but he has been keeping his eyes open for anyone who has taken the Psychic Pokemon he bred.]

[Sigilyph suddenly comes tearing down from the sky to frantically chirp at Geechisu. He looks in the direction indicated and notices a familiar poofy-haired individual.]

[Iris.[How long has she been here? She hasn't sought him out, so clearly her memories have been wiped. Good. The last time they met, she tried to kill him. Of course it was a failure, and her mind was simply reset... But Geechisu is immediately on-edge. Sigilyph stays perched on his shoulder as he approaches. The Pokemon wouldn't have reacted unless it knew that this was the Iris who had opposed him. Geechisu is positive that this isn't a double

[Archie doesn't move as Iris gets back up. She's short enough that he can maintain eye contact from his position.] You're welcome. No one deserves that. [Archie notices the Pokemon pop out of her hair and looks startled for a moment - that is kind of a brilliant hiding place, actually - before returning his attention to her.]

Don't worry about it. Not every day you get attacked out of the blue by some jackass. [Archie lances his hands over his knee, looking at Iris thoughtfully.] The name's Archie. I guess you know that bastard?

You'd be surprised! [Iris tries to chuckle a bit, but it comes out rather bitterly. Sigh...

Iris at least perks up a bit when the man introduces himself. She smiles.] I'm Iris; a Gym Leader in Opelucid City alongside my Uncle Drayden! It's nice to meet you, Archie...! [Yeah, her energy levels have just run lower than low. That took a lot to force out the cheery greeting, but...]

...He lives in my region. Opelucid City is in Unova, so...yes. [Sigh. She goes to pet her dragon Pokemon's head at the least.]

[aquaboss]

Nice to meet you too, Iris. [She continues to explain about how she knows Geechisu and Archie nods.] Sorry to hear that. I only found out about the bastard a little while ago... Well, found out again.

[He watches as she pets the Dragonair's head, now very openly curious.] That's an interestin' Pokemon. What is it? [Also an interesting place to keep a Pokemon...]

[Iris sighs a bit, but she does feel better petting Dragonair.] We all find out about him eventually. I just wish I would've known earlier...

[Oh? Iris looks up to Archie.] This is a Dragonair. From the Kanto region, but I found one here on the island. I guess it's a good thing I did... [There's another bitter laugh at that.]

[aquaboss]

Same here. [Archie gets back to his feet, folding his hands behind his head as he does so. He watches Iris play with the Dragonair as she explains it.] Why's that? Did somethin' happen to your others?

...I'm the eighth Gym Leader in the Unova region. If anything, he probably has them with him. [Her fist clench at that. She's frustrated, but she's afraid as well...]

[aquaboss]

[The eighth Gym Leader? Wow, that's impressive. But she's so young though...! Well, Red is the Champion of Kanto back in his world...] Son of a bitch... [Archie folds his arms with a frown.] Wish I could help, but at this point I can't go after him. [It's been a couple of crazy weeks. It seems like every time he takes a step forward with training, the island decides to screw him over somehow.]

Well, Iris! [Archie grins and then offers a hand.] We'll work together to take the bastard down.

[Well, she technically shares the position with her Uncle, but...yeah.] It's fine. ...I just hope they're okay.

[Iris was about to sigh, out of both frustration and probably a bit of defeat...but she manages a smile, taking his hand.] I'd be happy to help in any way I can, Archie! That jerk's gonna pay for what he's done to everyone! He's gonna get a really bad punishment!

[aquaboss]

Heh, yeah. We'll teach him. [Archie squeezes the girl's hand for a moment before letting go.] Gettin' your Pokemon back is the first thing we gotta focus on. [He doesn't add that Geechisu could be using those Pokemon, but it seems plausible.] I don't think I'll stand a chance against him at the moment, but I've been workin' with someone to get better. [Not mentioning that someone is the crazy version of his rival back home... Because yeah, that sounds weird.]
