Whelp folks, as per the title I find myself in the land of the rising sun for the third and longest time yet. I've been here as a psuedo-tourist, an exchange student, and now I'm employed here as a full fledged immigrant ( Read more... )

Will do. Being out in rural Japan is very different from being in the cities. At least I'm in a city for the rural area.

I'll definitely enlighten upon the differences in a future entry.

Hey, that phone/fax machine was already there. They're actually pretty easy to buy out here.

The cav is still out of commission too? That sucks. It's probably better to fix that than the Cruiser yet again.

Oh, and I'd try looking into cell phones in the near future. The two biggies are Docomo and SoftBank (nearly identical to the Verizon and AT&T war stateside), along with smaller players like AU. Find out what your host family uses, and keep in mind that if you get AU, we can do AU's version of My Circle. They're the only ones who do that.

Also, FYI, Sara mentioned getting an iPhone, which means she's with SoftBank (only company who support it).

Yay pictures! :D :D Japan, as always, looks like fuuun. Hopefully less intimidating this time around...?
Your apartment is mini-sized and cute!
Now, go eat something delicious and take a picture for me! I COMMAND YOU. jk jk. Seriously though, you should be eating delicious things every day; especially since you are skinny and can handle the yum yums.

Well, this time I'm in nowhereland, so I have to adjust once again. Luckily I'm in the populated area of nowhereland; some JETs get placed waaay out in the boonies.

I don't mind the size of the apartment so much, I just wish my hot water worked.

And don't worry about food, I actually had three up for this post, but as I said, I ran out of time. Rest assured "The Things of Which Ed Ate." is coming back (frequency to be determined).

Welcome back to Japan! :-D Your apartment at least looks a little bigger than Bill's Saitama apartment on study abroad!

Ha, well it's nice to know that mine's not the smallest of Japanese residences.
