I like it, but the following phrase doesn't make any sense to me: "the introduction of women’s participation in theatre was only begun to participate in theatre during the Restoration"
also: shouldn't it by "womens'" instead of "women's"? Since it's plural. I'm not a native speaker, tho, and I might be wrong, but I'm just trying to help.

Nope, women's. It's a posessive, the role of women. Women is the plural of woman, just like men is the plural of man.

but if you have plural and possessive then don't you have to make s' instead of 's? As in "one woman's particpation", but "several womens' participation".
