Haven't checked many places, but isn't the kind of pot you need for shabu shabu and sukiyaki a tad on the expensive side? I've eaten both and they are helluva delicious and easy. Its just the weird electric pot thats an issue.
Yeah, it looks like its supposed to be done over an electric portable stove or something, I dunno. I don't have that and can't find anything around here like that, so I'm just going to do it in a giant pan over the stove and hope that works out.
