51. Winter's Tale by Mark Helprin.  
Wonderful and charming, but difficult initially due to its weight. This can be rememedied by carefully breaking the paperback binding at the intervals that devide the book into four parts. then take an exacto knife to this creases to make four carriable books. if desired cardstock covers (cut to fit) maybe ( Read more... )

truly a lovely book, but i never finished becuase the book broke into quarters without my help, and the pages lost themselves somewhere in bottoms of bags and classrooms and corners where i eat lunches. what a nice idea to dissect a book, on purpose.
