It's been a strange thing, classes starting back up again. Granted, Eduardo took classes last term, too, but he'd only just arrived then, was too stuck on the fact of never getting to graduate from Harvard to care as much as he maybe should have about courses that would never count for anything in the long run. That was a long time ago, though - ( Read more... )

He's wandering about, mostly, but the sight of a familiar face there on the beach draws Chris over. Hanging about with Wardo's loads better than being on his own, after all.

"Hey mate, how's it goin'?" Chris asks, and plops down on the sand next to Wardo without much thought about whether or not he should. That is, until he catches sight of the magazine.

"Shit, you're not revising or somethin', are you?"

"No, no," Eduardo says quickly, laughing as he shakes his head. That this is his idea of light reading, something leisurely, he's well aware is something that most people would find odd. There's no need to outright call attention to it, especially not when he knows there's more to it than that, that some part of him will always keep looking for news on the state of things back home. For now, he has good company, which is one better anyway. "I just brought these out here to skim through, it can definitely wait. I'm pretty good, how about you?"

"Alright, same as always," Chris says, but he still hasn't moved past the fact that Wardo's got what looks like a really fuckin' boring magazine out in the sun to skim through. Plus, he's still stuck on how he's fucked things up with Claire, and anything's better than talking about that.

"What the fuck's Forbes, anyway?" He leans in to get a closer look at the magazine.

"It's a business magazine," Eduardo answers, smiling crookedly even as he does so. It isn't as if he would have expected Chris to know anything about it, let alone have any interest in it; he's known since they met that they don't exactly have a lot of the same hobbies, and he's fine with that. "Pretty good way to see how things are going back home, get news on... companies and things like that."
