Can it be the 18th yet? Hoping my preorder went through.

neogeen keeps posting all these keen LiveJournal as an actual journal entries, and I want to try doing that a bit myself-except my life isn't that interesting ;p. So I'll just try posting more, and hope that interesting things result.

You need to give yourself time to adjust - it will take a while for everything to settle and start to feel what you'd consider as normal again - everything good will come back, I assure you!

Remember that link you sent me about post-surgery depression? I'm guessing that might be happening too. Please don't be discouraged by anything *hugs* This is just a moment. It'll pass. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow. Maybe not next week, but know that it's not YOU. It's just something you're experiencing.

I've got a few bits I'm frustrated about, but am actually feeling better. I'm more poking at brain changes, because they can be interesting to chronicle, so sorry if I made you worry D:. That changed caffeine tolerance post-hysterectomy lasted until my hormones changed again rather than being a temp thing, so it's kind of weird to follow how it's shifted along with both those and my depression. At its worst right before I started hormones I was ingesting a ton of caffeine to even stay awake. I definitely do not miss that!

If I lose website building being easier longterm, I figure it's going to be like the hair-annoying side effect that's worth the good. I'll just have to learn how to do it different ways.

(Do you have any graphics you liked other than the banner? I am SO BAD at that partttt but found this awesome thing for colors.)

Have you tried peppermint tea? It's supposed to be a good substitute for caffeine, and I try switching to it when I want to back away from coffee for a while.

A little, but I think I prefer mint as a candy? (It is soothing, though.) Milder tea/coffee seems to still be okay, it's more when I try and go with my old lots-of-caffeine habits that I really regret it. I've also found some coffee candy I want to try for the taste...

I find all the brain-wiring stuff really interesting. The creative times always peak and flow, so hearing other perspectives on it is neat. I'm super sensitive to caffeine so I wield it like a...a...terrible weapon. It helps me focus to a T (I imagine the effects of adderall are similar) and I tend to use it as a tool to meet those ends. Though when I'm super bad I have some caffeine and get ALL THE THINGS DONE. I feel the balance is there, somewhere ( ... )

I don't think I can do daily, but making myself just write things out when I do post...yes, I need to do that. Too much overanalyzing what I'm thinking, not enough journaling and simply letting the thoughts come out. Sticking to one topic should help too, because if I go off on tangents things get long and I never finish.

And aaah tiny Liger. Mine are where I can poke them too because SO CUTE and those colors. I am glad it went together okay!

Late reply is late, but yeah, depression can take away a person's will to do anything and make them want to sleep more. That happened with me.

Caffeine was not my friend either, when I was taking an anti-depressant, caffeine would muck with my body and make me have trouble sleeping/have an accelerated heart rate, so I quit drinking caffeinated soda/energy drinks. I haven't been on an anti-depressant for years, but I still don't often drink caffeinated sodas out of habit. XD I tend to drink iced tea a lot more.

Hurr, but helpful-wise, I have heard that peppermint is actually good for helping with sleepiness, even the candy. I have problems with feeling sleepy because of my arthritis, so I got some bags of peppermint candy to have now and then.
