I was going to post something about the vagueness of the final episode on my own LJ but I think you've summed it up far better than I could have done. I liked the way Joss & co. managed to solve the "how do we end the show without killing Buffy?" dilemma, but everything else left me slightly cold. The season 5 ender was more dramatic and satisfying than this.

Hey, thanks! *smiles happily* And nice to LJ-meetcha, by the way. Thank you for posting. Good point about the season 5 ender as well. It's interesting -- I've heard several other fans say the same thing, some even talking about buying the DVDs up through 5th season, and leaving it there, kind of pretending that seasons six and seven didn't happen.
