Urgh. You know what also sucks? People who think that leaving you a Facebook message is an appropriate thank-you note because they "don't have time for anything else."

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I just wrote two thank-you notes myself in non-ballpoint black ink on ecru Crane stationery last week. Writing is not that painful, people. Heck, you can compose your note on the computer until you have just what you want to say, and then simply transcribe it. People cherish handwritten notes, even if they are brief.
