I tried Netflix's on-demand feature on Monday:
Valley of the Dolls was my test subject.
I know the movie retains camp value with certain audiences, but for me, it was kind of an interesting historical viewing, because I'd never seen anything with
Sharon Tate in it. It put a face to the name I'd heard about in association with the Manson murders.
Overall, though,I found it to be a soapy, dated artifact of the late Sixties.
