Bravo for neither. Bravo for even attempting to answer the question. I think this is one of the hardest concepts for writers to come to grips with, period. Some writers can think about the concept too much and downright lose their nerve. I consider it a sign of strenght of character to be on the far side of that milestone as a writer. So.... bravo for bravery and introspection I suppose.
