The beginning
The day she discovers she’s pregnant it’s also the day she cries the most. She observes the pink plus sign written in the test for long, everlasting seconds that block and become first minutes and then hours.
(She can’t believe it)
The end
The day she discovers she’s not pregnant anymore it’s also the day she cries the hardest. She convulses on the hospital bed and tries to hide from the world, covering herself with the aseptic white sheets, begging for death.
(Because that’s even harder to believe)
The very end
The day she discovers his whereabouts it’s also the day she gets broken once and for all (but this time, this time she doesn’t cry). She shoots one, two, three, four, five, six times, till he’s on the floor, fresh blood soaking the cement under her feet.
(She doesn’t believe it until she holds his damaged body in her arms)
