*it's an out of the way corner of the Nexus, still within the no-violence field but out of the way and hidden by a few quirks of Nexus geography. A few Metools are here... they beep frantically until Quint lets them know Steadfast is not an intruder. They're all huddled together, apparently guarding someone, but at orders from Quint they disperse, allowing him to approach a makeshift 'bed' made of blankets and pillows.*

A party, hey? *thinks that after all this, Quint could probably use a party* You could ask Dreadboots and the Nebulans for advice - they seem to enjoy party planning.

Regarding the other issue, you could try and ask in a roundabout way - you know, not giving away what you need the scanner for. And ask when and where no one's around who could carry the news to Wily.((i.e. make a "locked against..." post))
