And yeah, that 'spoils' a few of my maybe-fics, too. I prefer to write canon but if something was 'true' when I started writing it ... I keep on going. Otherwise I'd never get a fic done since I write so slow =]
(I was operating under the assumption that real time would pass this time and it'd be 3-4 months between episodes).
Me too but I remember thinking Root would have Finch for months the first time she kidnapped him before Reese found them. At the beginning of season 2 the poor man wasn't even abducted a week.
