Oh, God. I don't want Finch to stand up in front of the entire world and admit he built the Machine. A... so much for the show's premise and B... if Grace happens to be tuned in...

I've only seen the one promo and in it we see Finch saying, "I built it." My only hope here is that by the time he says that, Root, Reese... someone somehow has stopped the world wide feed.

Just sayin'.

Well, it turned out that Greer was faking out Vigilance, letting them think that the whole world was listening. Put me in mind of the climax of Sonmi-451's chapters in David Mitchell's "Cloud Atlas" when she discovers why the resistance seemed to be working a little too smoothly.

Ack... will we have to retire all our library icons????

Some on the IMDB boards suspected Vigilance and Decima were allies or something but I didn't think they actually started Vigilance. Makes Collier a sad dupe, huh?

At least that answers who sent him the text messages.

I hate Greer so much.

I don't plan to retire my library icon any time soon: I'm planning to rewatch the series from the pilot and write a series of fake news items set in the PoI 'verse dealing with some of the more visible things the boys have gotten into, so the one library icon I got will still come in handy.

I feel bad for Collier: poor guy thought he was fighting the good fight and ended up getting played by the Devil himself. And while I've been fascinated by Greer as a villain, I kind of want to see Shaw strangle him by wrapping her thighs around his neck and squeezing till the well-dressed bastard passes out, at which time Reese makes sure he stays down with extreme prejudice: dragging him behind a Mack truck might do the job.

But maybe the "trial" isn't actually airing. I can only hope.

See my comment above: I won't say I saw that coming, but I had a feeling that Vigilance was just a little too successful for this to be anything but a set-up that they walked right into.

Yes, it seemed a little too easy when they stormed in and took over Decima's place last week. That's what set off my thoughts about their connection.

If the rest of LJ isn't... I am. Won't go to tumblr cause it's full of spoilers but I'm so sad POI fandom seems so dead here.

I love Tumblr but I stayed off everything until the ep was over... didn't want any spoilers at all.

And I must be the only one to find a positive in the ending, at least for Rinch fans. Imagine Reese and Finch in their new identities finding ways to have secret nights together. The fic just writes itself! Or I wish it did... I sure can't write for shit.

Maybe that could be a summer challenge... stories about what the secret 7 are doing in their new identities.

yes, secret meetings are it for the summer. I don't "hate" it but I'm just trying to process it. On the one hand, we get a fresh start with our hidden identities.
