Well, my fics tend to be short so I wanted to try and get everything you asked about in to make up. Initially was going to be 1 fic with all 3: Finch musing about training the Machine and on his pain, and then taking Bear for a walk where they were confronted by muggers or something. But Bear had other ideas and I didn't think the tone of the 3 fics was gelling. So 3 small fics.
