PSA: Kitty for adopting, in TO

You local folks: northbard and tormenta have a sweet kitty, estimated by vet to be about 6-8 months old, whom they adopted recently, but who has found some conflict with their other fuzzbutts.

Anyone localish looking for an adorable companion?

The first question I'd need to ask would have to do with which cat not being the one to get along. Is it the pre-existing cat who's being unfriendly or the new kitteh? It makes a difference.

I would guess you'd have to ask the cat's homeproviders that. :)

Our existing cat is a coward, plus she doesn't want to share the space. Poor Min keeps hiding under things every time the new cat comes into the room. Now, I've been watching them for days, and haven't seen either of them hurt the other; I wasn't home today when it happened. But my experience is that Min will be sitting in a room, the new cat will come in, and Min will immediately bolt for "safety".

For instance, a few days ago, Min was sitting downstairs on the couch. The new cat started down the steps to the basement, and by the time she was 6 steps from the bottom, Min was hiding in the far corner under the TV cabinet. Why she's afraid of the new one, I'm not sure. But I will point out that Min was also afraid of the bunny that lived here for a couple of weeks last month.

I'd taker her in a micro-second if I could afford the extra food :( Hope she finds a new home soon.
