As part of his day with Jo, Julian had decided he would have her sit for Nessa for a portrait. Nessa would have someone to paint, and Julian would have a portrait of his friend to keep that way

Nessa smiled brightly, looking the young woman over only briefly (she didn't want to seem studious as though she were new meat) and offered her hand. "Hello, Jo, nice to meet you." Then she looked jokingly derisive to Julian, taking the bait with a smile.

"Nice to meet you too." Jo smiled back and shook Nessa's hand. "So where do you want me?" With a quick glance over to Julian, she said, "I've never been painted before, it's very exciting." The sitting still part she wasn't quite so keen on, but Julian had told her to do as Nessa said, so she would try her best.

She looked the girl over. "What do you normally like to do?" She asked. It was always best to draw people in their enviroment. More natural, more expressive, more true.

Jo had to think about that. There were lots of things she liked to do but they all rather depended on the Doctor, usually. Or whoever else was around. "I like adventure," she decided, since that was always true.
