For clothes make sure they're fashionable. That's one place Green fails so badly.
Heather I was wondering as well. I was reading Diane Castle's story and Ayla mentions the Mitchell translation of the "Tao Te Ching" is not the best English translation. Can you recommend a better one?

The best translation I know of is the Gia Fu Feng/ Jane English translation. It even offers the Chinese text alongside, in the larger version with the photos. The Thomas Cleary one is also not too bad. For a different approach check out the Ursula LeGuin version.
