Ha, I think Ollie liked Officer Chloe too lol. They're on the road to working things out, but Lois isn't quite finished pushing Oliver's buttons yet. I'm glad you're enjoying the story and I'll get the last part up soon. Thanks for your comments!

Loved that he paid attention to what flowers she liked. Even better because I love purple irises, too.

I wanted something to symbolize how Chloe has been important to him for longer than he even realized. Paying attention to little details like the flowers she liked (even before they were together) gave Chloe hope - and they're my faves too because my grandmother used to plant them every year just for me :). Thanks for reading and commenting! More soon

Glad that you updated sooner. Lois, ever the street savvy and instinct wise, figured it out in a heartbeat. I love her no bullshit attitude and blunt approach. It makes the strongest of men weak at their knees. As for Oliver and Chloe, I guess all those spending their time together has brought them closer and before they knew it, they mean that much to each other.

I love Lois' character - so much that I wonder if I'll like any other Lois in future. And she's not done making Oliver squirm ;) Oliver and Chloe have grown close but they still have some things to work out - especially Oliver since he's the one struggling the most here with how to handle their relationship. Thanks for reading and commenting! I'll get the last part up soon

The conversation between Lois and Ollie went better than expected and I love that Ollie had to sweat it out a little about Chloe. But in the end our gal crossed the bridge and put her cards on the table.

The bit at the end about the fav flowers was a nice touch and I love those little details in your story.

There were a couple of ways I could have played this but I wanted to show the more impulsive side of Chloe I loved before s9 - and even in s9, after all her heartache, she wanted to be with Oliver. Yes, she dressed it up as a good time fling and attached some rules to it to make it less scary, but she never ran from him (after Escape anyway.) Chloe is smart enough to see that Oliver's struggling and she had done her own snooping to figure out the source of his previous detachment. In the end I felt it would be out of character for her to give up so easily on Oliver when she gave even Clark and Jimmy multiple chances. And the flowers gave her hope - my grandmother used to plant purple irises for me and when my boyfriend started giving them to me after she died, it really meant a lot.

Lois is not done making Oliver suffer, and he and Chloe still have some things to resolve. I'll get the last chapter up soon. Thanks for your comments!

True, Oliver was a jerk and I could have written this differently. But when you really care about someone, you usually try to make it work even when you're angry. Chloe has a lot of heart and it seemed wrong for her to give up on him so easily. Lois isn't done making Oliver squirm though and he still has some things to work out with Chloe. I'll try to post the last part soon - next week at latest. Thanks for your comments!
