Really? You'd be much better off reading "The Vampire Diaries" than watching the show. I've never seen "Sherlock" so I am not sure of it's quality. What station is it on?
I saw your comment on the writers block page... Have you watched Doctor Who, Life on Mars, Ashes to Ashes (sequel to Life on Mars) and there are a number of good BBC shows.
No intrusion. Talking to people is why we blog isn't it. :-)
I have watched "Doctor Who" and "Life on Mars". Just not my kind of shows. I really wasn't trying to say all shows today are crap. I just don't think television writers/ producers try to put meaning into shows like they used to. (same with movies). I know that there are many great shows out there, but Most of them began before 2010.

Excellent article and easy to understand explanation. How do I go about getting permission to post part of the article in my upcoming news letter? Giving proper credit to you the author and link to the site would not be a problem.

Asking works :-) thank you for the compliment and for asking before taking even part of what I wrote. I do not mind if you use it as long as I get due credit. Also, what is this newsletter and would I get a copy or would you send me the linking it is online?
