Posting my completed work is pretty much the BANE OF MY EXISTENCE. BUT, it's gotta be done, am I right? You didn't spend all that time recording/editing/arting etc. for your work to linger, stagnate on your HD. YOU MUST RELEASE IT INTO THE WORLD SO THAT OTHERS MAY ENJOY IT! \0/

How lovely! Your idea about having all the sites in a tab group? LOVE IT. TOTALLY GOING TO DO THAT.

And also, I happen to have been given some server space which I just need to figure out (I thought I got the Internet.. FTP what?) So thanks for the embed reminder! Gonna steal that too once I figure out how to use my space...

You can do it!

After your initial setup it's all drag and drop! (I know paraka recs a built-in browser FTP, but I used a program called FileZilla and it is very friendly and remembers all your settings for you)

I CAN HELP WITH THE FTP! If you need it. I held off on setting it up for weeks before I gave it a try because I had NO CLUE what I was doing. And it was SO EASY!

I use Firefox so I downloaded FireFTP. When I want to upload a file to the server, I just click firefox > web developer > FireFTP and log on with the user name/password Paraka gave me. Under 'edit' in the FireFTP toolbar there are boxes to fill in. Just add your login and password there and it will remember you each time for super easy-one click logging on. Then it's just dragging and dropping from your computer to the site. (But create folders if you think you'll want them. I wish I had, at least to divide by fandom, but TOO LATE! I don't wanna go back and re-code all my links.) :\

Useful useful useful!

My template (I keep it in notepad++) has a spot for coverartists (and sometimes betas!) I tend to combine coverartist and reader into the same credit line since they are both me! *g*

Oh! And I do an Alt Text for my cover art too.

ALT TEXT FOR COVER ART! Great idea!
And YES, cover artist and beta reader if you use 'em! Thanks for the reminder!

Yeah, posting and the administration around it is my least favorite part of podficcing, too. /o\ I have templates similar to yours, although I usually don't have m4b's and cover art.

Isn't it though? Uh. Hate it. I haven't posted to a comm in months. The poor coders at Amplificathon are gonna curse my name when I do. /0\
