I can’t decide if Reign is a better-when-binged show for me or if this season got off to kind of a slow start. I’ve still been really enjoying it, though, particularly the more recent couple of episodes.

I've always liked Francis and enjoyed him immensely as a character but I've never, like, felt for him before? I do this season, though. I'm surprised by how anxious I feel on his behalf, LOL, but his panicky defensiveness just feels so real.

Just FYI, I didn't feel sorry for him either, in S1? Not even in that brief period when he was booted out of the lines of succession, aha, because I knew it wasn't going to be permanent. xD It's only now where I'm like AW, MAN. YOUR LIFE IS KINDA HARD HAVE A CUP OF TEA.

There is something about little fairy regbo that has made me innately sympathize with him despite the fact that I knew he wouldn't ultimately be dethroned. But, that was kind of a mild aww Francois and a boo to the lameness of the legitimization storyline cause it was just dumb and fell flat imo. I'm more interested in the other word politically. The religious stuff is my cup of tea. Anyways back to francois, I just feel for him so much cause watching him unravel is kind of poignant. I'm not sure how I feel about Mary's characterization. I'm also not here for mary/bash 2.0. Yawn been there done that.

And in a way I think that was an enormous relief for Francis? It just feels like one of those situations where it's OK if someone you love figures it out for themselves, and you almost WANT them to, for the relief of it (and when Bash started taking the first steps there, Francis met him eagerly halfway), but you just can't bring yourself to confess it yourself…

Yeah, I think Francis was kind of tipping his hand with Bash, even? He was just so blatantly shifty during the whole conversation.
