that lean, narrow face shows you every twitch of every muscle. And because Klaus is one giant live nerve, his face is active and vivid and tells you every thought ricocheting through his deranged mind.

YES, I love your description of Klaus as "one giant live nerve." Bang-on, and that makes him so fascinating to watch. There's something beautiful and cold and sinuous to his rage. Like a snowball churning up into an avalanche.

I am also completely willing to listen to you sing and dance about why Klaus speaks to your soul. ANYTIME.

I love him so much, it's a sickness.

And +1 to all your TO thoughts.

SO ATTACHED.

Yes! His lashing out is "beautiful" as in cathartic, but it's also visually beautiful a lot of the time, and that is so thrilling and scary to me.

YOUR DESCRIPTIONS ARE BEAUTIFUL. "One giant live nerve" = A+++++++ I haven't ever seen TO, because I was never particularly interested in the characters individually, but you make it sound really interesting! Especially because I agree on magical pregnancies, they're like a potential gateway to a Pro Life advert that goes on for episodes and episodes, especially in universes that are otherwise fairly amoral, and can be so problematic because they're presented so straight-forwardly.

I haven't seen the last (two?) episode(s) of TVD yet, so both Lexi and I can be excited about them now!!!

TO is a lot of fun! It does a surprising amount of "here are certain philosophies of/ways to get and keep power" - in a YA-friendly spelled-out way, but it's very thorough, and very true to the characters as we know them.

ugh, yes, exactly. It's ALWAYS "force a woman to carry a pregnancy and she'll eventually see that she's worth nothing without it!"

Caught up with TO (at least until the break), and I get Klaus. Klaus is Walter White as a vampire. THEY ARE MAKING HIM A PRESTIGE SHOW ANTIHERO. And I haven't been this entertained by TVD in YEARS. I love it like I loved Breaking Dawn Part II: It's so insane, but if you buckle up and are ready, it's one amazing ride.
