I never understood how "bitch" or "whore" is supposed to be some scathing insult to an evil witch or a demon. They're murderers, torturers, and they're supposed to feel bad because Dean Winchester is slut-shaming them? Seriously? "Let's cast gruesome death spells indiscriminately, but I sure hope no one compares us to sex workers!"
It's almost funny, if only Dean were the only one who thought that way.

HAHAHA, THIS.
It's a shame - well, it's always a shame, obviously - but it's especially frustrating, because I feel like when Supernatural directly deals with female sexuality, it really does TRY not to sex-shame. In a very clumsy and often otherwise shitty way, but I do think it tries. And that should be a given, but it's not, so credit where it's due. But those attitudes are so overwhelmingly present, in the constant use of "whore" and "slut" in a totally unexamined way.
