I need this to be addressed, for serious. If we're supposed to believe that Jeremy can be fine while Alaric goes psycho killer, we need to know how Samantha Gilbert went wrong too. This has been making me crazy.
I was pretty appalled with the way he in - in this episode, where Ric is doing his whole song and dance - dates his problems to when Klaus compelled him to do something. Um, really? Not the months he'd spent before that ripping Appalachia to bloody shreds? K then.

And it's just so sad that girlfriend-time is treated as this backup placeholder? We'll hang out and do stuff together, until we have boy-dates! No, that's not how it works. Well, maybe it is sometimes, but that's limiting and sad (and, frankly, totally enables the abusive patterns we see in this episode, so, no ty).
It's also a highly sympathetic point of view (I have little patience for death wishes, but this is much better). Meanwhile, I do sort of think that Tyler is safe, but I've been wrong before, so we'll see. Agreed. I wouldn't be into it if he was like JUST LET ME DIEEEEEEE but I think his motivations here are fantastically solid. I hope you're right that he's safe! MAH PUPPY
