The people closest to him are better off when he doesn't have a soul, really. Everyone in AI? Axed. Spike and Dru? Chillin'. Darla THREE TIMES - 75% of the time she dies, MY GOD - are strictly a result of her getting mixed up with souled Angel.

I mean it's not like it's not an interesting story, it's interesting, but I don't want it valorized.
