And as a former pro-lifer who's recently undergone the mindfuck of a transition of changing from conservative to moderate feminist (we're talking entire worldview change here), Laura Roslin helps me remember that it's okay to support abortion, that it's not hating on babies to say that women have the right to decide what's best for their own bodies. I love love love your Laura Roslin Essay of win. I meant to comment on it, but was waylaid and fell super far behind on all things LJ over the holiday. It was magical.

I hear you about hating some things Bill Adama. The guy falls apart, like, a lot. But part of what I love about Bill and Laura is that it should not work. Like, it makes no sense. She's tough as nails and is not afraid to airlock a bitch and he cries about his space kids every other episode. And yet...the find their common ground. Improbably so.

Anyway, I'm so glad to see another HARDCORE LAURA SUPPORTER! SSWA! :D :D :D

Hm, that's a really interesting spin on it. They seemed so wonderfully compatible to me at the beginning, but now. Ugh. I don't actually mind the moping and crying so much as the way he makes everything ALL ABOUT HIM. Lee's whole story is growing out of that; Bill's whole story becomes collapsing into it; and in 4.5 Laura's story is basically to be the reason Bill collapses.
