SHE IS THE SHINIEST GLOWIEST PRETTIEST BEST. I'm kind of shocked at just how quickly I have developed such strong opinions about the characters.

there's a few great ones between Billy & Laura where Billy basically calls her on whether it's wise for her to expect the Colonies to follow the "drug-induced hallucinations of a dying woman"

I think something like that's in the final cut. I definitely remember him saying something about drugs and hallucinations, but I don't think he throws the cancer in her face. Which honestly would feel out of character, IMO.

I think all their hesitation makes sense for sure. It's just the TREASON that strikes me as, you know, a BIT OTT a reaction.

It also bothered me that Adama knowing where Earth is is never even questioned by anyone. How the fuck would he know that? While Laura thinking of admittedly uncertain ways to actually try to get there is all WHOA SAY WHAT NOW. Adama's fantastic stories are somehow more believable to people than Laura's.

And this is the point in the timeline as well ( ... )

I just think he loves her because HOW COULD YOU NOT. I honestly can't think of one of his characters who puts her shit aside, makes the pragmatic choice, and moves the hell on. So in a way, she has to be refreshing. Like, would Laura Roslin let Angelus wander around Sunnydale for months while she worked out her feelings? NO. She would stake a bitch now and cry later. I don't think either of them is less heroic for their differences, but Laura must have more surprises in store for Joss, if that makes sense.

if you can get past the Muppets

WHO WANTS TO GET PAST MUPPETS??? THERE ARE MUPPETS? SOLD.
