For you TWW!fans on my f-list... do you have any Sam!centric recs? Like, anything that you really, really love that you feel sums up Sam, or where Sam plays a major part. Anything you can think of. If you could just comment here with it, I'd really appreciate it

Otherwise, my major rec is Marguerite's novel "The Rarest Faith," which completely wins with me by using Sam as Bartlet's legacy in the obvious way of doing such things. :-)
Apologies if you've read these already; I don't normally read a lot of TWW fic.

Thanks for the recs! I'm trying to collect them for the end of my idol_reflection essay because I don't really read that much TWW fic these days, either ^_^

And Union Square is just one downtown stop from Grand Central on the 4 or 5 train. From Penn you take the A, C, or E downtown a stop or 2 to 14th and take the L across town 2 stops. Same from Port Authority, just an extra stop on the A, C, E.

But if both you and krabapple approve, then that's where we'll go. I just really want to try something different. Almost every birthday party I've thrown in the past few years has been at John's Pizzeria up on 46th and my usual place I like to eat just closed ::tear:: and was a burger place anyway (best burgers in the city, I swear to god), so... yes.

I love Marguerite (yeah, I don't know how to spell either), and I really, really love that Josh/Donna and Sam story you mentioned. I also love the series of Toby-Leo-Sam one-shots she did that take place during ItSoTG. The Toby one especially breaks my heart.
I don't really read much TWW fic anymore either, unless someone I know has written it. Of course, that's basically the approach I'm taking with most of my fic-reading these days. Either someone has to rec it or it has to be by someone I trust.
And, like I said to Emily below, I think I'm going to go with Republic, because she likes it there too. It's funny you mentioned John's, because that's actually the place where basically every birthday party I've ever thrown has been. (The ones in the city, at least.)
(PS: We are icon twins!)

You and Me in a Rowboat to Rio
What Good Men Do
Transition
This Is the Way the World Ends
(this one kills me. it's the end of them, and it's just so heartbreaking and lovely and oh. I love the pain and angst of TWW fic, so there'll probably be a lot of that in these fics.)
Things to Do in Cleveland When You're Overcoming Denial
The Thinner the Skin
The Best Idea Ever
(oh, this is basically the best thing ever. I love this fic so, so much.)
Seven Beginnings and an (Un(Happily)) Every After
Serves Two
(I'm not sure how I feel about this one -- the structure/formatting seems a little precious -- but in the end, you know, you're just left going "Oh, Sam.")
Chance to Make it Real
All Who Are Hungry
A Campaign Thing
(I love campaign!fic with such a burning passion. Oh, man. And this is good.)
Ask a Scientist (It's Quantum Physics)
(mostly Josh/Donna, but with Josh/Sam undertones.)
You and Me of the 10 000 Wars
(Josh/Sam, but with Sam/Ainsley and Josh/Amy.)

Third and Seven (Toby, Sam, CJ)
Everything He Almost Had ( ... )
