I was kind of half joking but...there is no earthly reason that I can think of that Erik wouldn't know who Charles was if he was so up on mutant politics and thing, I think. Like, even if he didn't watch the Daily Show, I imagine that he'd know there was a mutant correspondent on TDS and probably at least know his name, even if, for some reason, he didn't look him up/watch regularly/etc. I don't have cable and haven't watched TDS regularly in four and a half years, but I still know most of the current correspondents just from being a person on the internet with a vague interest in liberal politics, you know
