This was on the original list of seven stories I wanted to write the first time I walked out of DoFP. This is only the start of what I really wanted to get at, and I might return to it some day--who knows!

I have seriously been thinking about this story since I walked out of the movie the first time. It's on my original list of seven ideas that I came out of DoFP with. THERE MIGHT BE MORE OF IT, WHO KNOWS.

THERE MIGHT BE MORE. I've had this one in my head for a while and I looooooove that Trask was presented as fascinated by mutants rather than necessarily repulsed by them. HE'S SUCH A COMPLICATED VILLAIN IN THE MOVIEVERSE.

I missed this one, but it's incredibly intriguing! Although Trask's goals were abhorrent for the group he targeted - and his referring to Raven as 'it' that time was the most blatant sign of his attitude - he has done more practical research into mutants than Charles had accomplished in the same period, with Charles' limited supply of consenting adults to ask for samples (far easier with the dead, eh, Trask?) for study. At least, I think Charles would probably ask for adult consent for blood samples and the like, while working solely in the school to educate and train young mutants.
