I knew Work/Life Balance immediately because you'd mentioned the Alex thing to me, so that. The others worked out with the clues you'd given and, okay, irreconcilable differences just SOUNDED like you, IDK. I waffled about the third one for a while, but I was REALLY sure about the other two, so, math meant Mistletoe. It matched up with your having mentioned wanting to spite-write Hanukkah fic. :P And then, okay, this is totally something I only noticed because I was bored and really trying to figure out if the third one was Mistletoe, but you always credited [redacted] in your author's notes, and no other fic in the exchange did that. (Header notes are death to anonymity if you actually know the authors -- I figured out who'd written my gift in two seconds flat before I'd even started reading the thing.)

Ah, the spite-writing of Hanukkah fic. I want to spite write MORE now, but I have a big bang due soon and just don't have time. (I always feel vaguely like an asshole when I get really het-up about Erik's Judaism being erased or ignored in favor of telling Christmas stories, given I'm an agnostic raised Catholic, BUT I CAN'T HELP IT. IT MAKES ME SO ANGRY.)

The headers are always the death of me. That's why I started redacting my beta-readers in the first place in TW fandom XD If the stories themselves for Madness weren't totally obvious (Charles and children's books! Old Retired Dudes! A story about Renata's cat! I mean, seriously.), the headers may as well have been signatures. Especially the one for Pearl that was basically an all-caps apology for missing her birthday.

I have never in my life ever guessed someone in an anonymous challenge before but then! I was reading and the name Felicity Prachett appeared before my eyes and I knew and it was exciting.

Also, I've been reading stories while hanging out in the bathroom between morning sickness spells so my apologies for not commenting there - but all three stories are wonderful and happy-making! :)

Ahahahahaaha, TRUE STORY THAT ONLY YOU WOULD APPRECIATE: Originally, I was going to use Danny as the reporter in that story and have the crew all be his crew in the AU where he's Anderson Cooper, but I was afraid it was self-indulgent and changed people's first or last names at the last minute.
