Hi, internet. This weekend was too short. I should probably be in bed because I have work tomorrow and it's going to be a long day full of data entry, but I'm awake now and before I curl up in bed with this fic, I thought I'd post this meme and talk a little about things

Because you friended me! It's funny, though, I remember the entire...thing where I friended you. Conversation. (I'm tired.) I was sitting here with Margaret and I saw you had added me and your name was vaguely familiar but I couldn't place it. And I was like, "Margaret, do you know who pearl_o is?" And she recognized your name from bandom. But then I went to your journal and saw that you had written that fic you wrote (oh god, English language, what?) where Charles has the fantasy about being in Erik's head while he fucks a stranger and thought, "A+++ will add back!"

And I did. Thus starting the MAGICAL JOURNEY of our friendship. Or something. God, I'm tired.

yeah, i always get really emotional when i start thinking about how many people are in my life because of fandom and how different my life would be if i didn't have those people in it. it's MIND-BOGGLING, really. i wouldn't be anywhere near the same person i am today if it hadn't been for the people i found through fandom.

also this is me commenting for meme, so. :D

It's true! So many aspects of my life are better because of it, and even with the stress it sometimes causes, I wouldn't change any of it. Literally every good thing I have in my life right now (my home, my roommate, my job, my circle of friends) is because of fandom.

Ha ha, the ONLY question I've gotten from other people on this meme is, "What exactly is it that you do?" And it's honestly hard to explain even to other people in related fields. I work for a state government regulatory agency. We bring cases against professional licensees of various boards. It's a mix of hearings & writing/administrative, though rather more of the latter. So it uses my law degree but doesn't require it, if that makes sense.

Also, I am glad that you find 'unapologetic' to be a POSITIVE quality.
