It's totally legit, I just never noticed it before. Which is why I keep thinking about it and giggling to myself. (Although I've seen some interesting fan theories about how Erik's relationship with food might be affected by his childhood, the camps, etc.)

That would be an interesting way to look at it! Much better than, "Fassbender skipped breakfast and there was cheese and crackers RIGHT THERE." I've read a couple fics to that tune, now that I think about it, but it's not something I've ever thought about when doing my own stuff. I spend a lot of time thinking about Erik cooking (in my headcanon he's a pretty good cook, I don't know why, it's just ~*an opinion I formed*~ early on and then littledust shared it and sometimes our headcanon blurs together to the point where I'm just 100% sure that it's ACTUAL CANON and people who write Erik as a bad cook are just WRONG), mostly, and have lots of ideas about where he picked up all his cooking skillz.

True story: despite the fact that my mom is usually pretty good about remembering my allergies, she can't wrap her head around this dairy thing.
