So, I got to see about an hour of the movie before the shaky camera forced me to run to the bathroom so I could puke a few times. I tried to go back in afterwards (sometimes after I puke the first time I get it out of my system), but I got sick again, so I just went home ( Read more... )

It was your enthusiasm that galvanized me to finally read the series. I hope that you can make it through your next viewing. No YA fan left behind! <3

Thank you ♥ ♥ ♥ I'm feeling a little silly about how upset I was last night/this morning, but still, UGH. Not fun :(

But I didn't know I was the one who bumped you over into reading it! That pleases me ridiculously so :D

I almost emailed you in distress at two in the morning, but by the time I got home I was too tired/sick feeling to bother opening my computer again D: Hopefully I'll be able to defeat it the second time around, but yes. WHAT I SAW WAS PRETTY GREAT!

Oh no. :( I have had this happen before - it's awful, right? In my personal experience though, I'm usually okay as long as I'm not watching it on a huge screen. (I've watched the same movie on my computer and it's been fine.) I would like to think that dramamine might do the trick too, but I've never tried it for movies...

Anyway. *hugs and moral support* Motion sickness is the worst. (And I think you actually may be the only other person I know who has ever had this happen in a movie theater! It sucks, but it's nice to know I'm not alone? XD;;)

Thanks, bb ♥ It happens to me frequently enough that I can often look at a movie and judge, "Okay, I should take a dramamine before this one." And I'm generally okay if I take that precaution--I can only think of one time that I took a dramamine and then was like, "Oh god, this is still so awful that I have to leave." But I guess it hasn't happened in a while and it didn't even occur to me when I was getting ready D:

Anyway, IT IS GOOD TO KNOW I'M NOT ALONE. I've never met anyone else who gets sick at movies before, just a lot of people who are sensitive to the fact that I sometimes do XD

Yeah, I kind of thought I was the only one! *_* I can usually tell which ones will do it to me, too, and I definitely wouldn't have expected something like this to have that handheld camera feel. *_*

...And I actually haven't read the series, but had been thinking I'd check out the movie, but... Now I'm thinking I should probably just wait for the DVD. >_>

...If dramamine works though, you'll have to let me know. ;)

I do too. All my friends know if they're seeing a movie with me we have to sit up the back so I'm as far away from the screen as possible. That usually works, but I'm fairly picky about what I see at the cinema. I got motion sick from Second Life as well, which wasn't a big deal except that I had to play it for a semester as part of my masters degree and it was painful.
