"let's be honest, it would be hard for mcavoy to find a wife who COULDN'T beat him up."

OKAY. WOW. OKAY.

Matching for secret_mutant is done! \o/ I stayed up way past my bedtime, but I got all the assignments out the day I said I would. I would change the way I did it (the manner in which I made the matches, I mean, not who people received!) in the future, but I actually really kind of enjoyed it? Going through and being like, "WAIT! SOMEONE ELSE ( Read more... )

meme, teevee, mcavoy has a stupid goober face, secret_mutant

Hm... the first one is surprisingly hard! I think, probably, the thing I like best about myself is my sense of humor. It's generally the thing that gets me through the tough shit and I also enjoy that I think everything is funny. Because it is. And funny things bring me joy. So. It's good to have that. And to be able to laugh like an asshole in my living room over stupid shit like the b-team on Mythbusters forgetting about poison gas and then panicking XD

And, honestly, my perfect date is pretty much described verbatim in this story. I figured if I wasn't getting as use out of it (especially now that I live in Boston), Charles might as well have it.

♥ ♥ ♥!

Have you ever seen State of Play? And I mean the original British series, not the terrible US movie remake. I am greatly of the opinion McAvoy is in that movie simply to satisfy the Adorkable requirement, much in the way Bill Nighy is in it just to be...well, Bill Nighy, I suppose.

And then there's the whole hilarity of having John Simm and David Morrissey playing OLD FRIENDS who are NOT REALLY IN A POSITION TO BE FRIENDS NO MORE and...yeah. It's a brilliant show. I think it has all twenty British actors in it. Though none of them appear to have been in a Harry Potter film that I can remember. ...well, except Bill Nighy, but then he's the only one who can fulfil the Nighy Need, so I suppose it doesn't count. Much.

It's funny, when I went home this weekend, my mom was like, "Hey, your dad and I just watched this show on Netflix that I think you would like! It's a British show called State of Play!" and it DOES sound relevant to my interests, but mcwonthelottery apparently tried to watch it and wasn't thrilled. But maybe I'll give it a whirl while she's out of the house in my quest to see everything McAvoy has ever done XD

The first few episodes are admittedly the best in quality, but it doesn't mean the rest is bad. I really enjoyed it, but then again it's a bit like Life on Mars for me; much as I love the show, I have to be in a certain mood before I can watch it. But then I'm nuts at the best of times. XD

If you do (which I recommend! though you do need to be in the British Conspiracy Thriller frame of mind), McAvoy doesn't actually show up till the second episode. And then he is in fact ADORABLE ALL OVER, but, you know. Don't spend the first hour waiting for disappointment.

(Also, his character is married offscreen, and I like to pretend it's to Anne-Marie.)

Also, SHAMELESS \o/. That is all.

This is probably a sad thing to admit but... I don't remember what my last kiss was like? I assume it was adequate? I honestly have a pretty shit memory and it was many months ago, now XD

So, feel free to pick another number since that one was kind of anti-climatic!

I think it's the sweetest that the girl he falls for in Shameless ended up as his fabulous wife. <3

Shameless is FUCKING AWESOME. \0/ \0/ I actually was living in Manchester when it aired on telly, and I was IN LOVE WITH IT IMMEDIATELY. He was SO AMAZING in it. SO AMAZING. And THE MOST ADORABLE with Anne-Marie! :D Seriously, I love the two of them so much. Probably why I can't read RPS with him and really get 100% into it.

Questions! 27 and 17!

OH MY GOD, I KNOW RIGHT? Every time he does something adorable for her on the show I'm like, "OH MY GOD THEY'RE REALLY IN LOVE AND IT'S THE CUTEST THING EVER OMG."

Like, I am not a person who cares about celebrity couples, but COULD THEY BE MORE PRECIOUS? They stay home and watch movies and do sudoku puzzles instead of going out! Like, seriously, be cuter, McAvoy. I DARE YOU.

I KNOW OH MY GOD HOW ARE THEY SO ADORABLE, SERIOUSLY. I MEAN JUST LOOK AT THEM. SO. IN. LOVE.

I CAN'T EVEN DEAL WITH HOW IN LOVE THEY ARE. And how he's always holding her and hugging her and I just want to flap my hands at them and run around in circles in glee.

I....may have a problem. ::shifty eyes::

And, omg, BABY. (Even though Brendan is my brother's name so it always throws me when I read it. Apparently there is only one Brendan in the world and he's a 24 year old hipster.) Like, I totally respect his whole, "I keep my family out of the spotlight" thing, but the world needs a million pictures of him holding a baby. They might inspire world peace.

Ugh, I really need an icon of his face. I have a few saved on my laptop, but I am woefully at work!
