I'm just a meme making machine these days. I blame boredom and a flist size disproportionate to both my actual talent and my ability to entertain.

The "I'm so AWESOME" Meme!Guys, what is the best fic you've ever written? The one you wish you could show everyone you meet so they would know how awesome you are? Not the fic that's gone over best or ( Read more... )

This is such a wonderful idea! :D *bookmarks page for future fic nomming*

My best thing is certainly Load, Misdirection, Switch (Inception, Ariadne/Saito, background Arthur/Eames) -- plot! romance! dorkitude!

This is such a cool idea but SO HARD. I post very little of my fic and rarely write anything plotty and have a such a weird "read my story/Oh GOD why are people reading my story" dynamic going that, yeah.

In actual fact the piece I like best is probably a tiny little pornlet that I wrote for a comment fest and posted anon. It was the first fic I posted in more than a decade and it felt great. I am. however, not about to post Jack porn in your journal. I love you too much.

So then, far from perfect but by God it was fun to write and liberating to post it as an anon WIP and most importantIy think I got their voices right...

Aww, I like this idea! You ARE awesome.

The fic I've felt like sharing lately is Send It off in a Letter to Yourself -- because it's Scott/Jean, because it's (sort of) epistolary and I have a soft spot for 'letters they never sent,' because when I wrote it I was full of feelings and also because I totally stole the idea from the day job I had at the time, which involved college freshmen and THEIR feelings.

Now She Has No Choice, X-Files

I wrote this for a gift exchange thing a few years ago, and I still love it. Every so often I'll go back and read it and it makes me want to take a week off of life and just watch the whole series all over again.

let's live in the moment just this time, could we? (DW, River/Eleven, R) is my hands-down favorite, but I gotta say, the dying of the light, the coming of the dawn (BSG/TWW, Sam Seaborn/Lee Adama, R for sex and lots of character deaths) is a close runner-up, just for this line: The language of need is one that they both speak fluently, effortlessly substituting sighs for adjectives, hands for verbs.. Sam Seaborn, you literate jackass.

Okay that sentence from the BSG/TWW makes me want to read it right now.

No lie. Just, man yes!
