OKAY. So, I basically posted my epic and then ran off to a job interview and didn't realize until I was on the train that I never added the extensive end notes/thank yous for my fic! I had put them up on AO3, but forgotten, in the mess of cutting the fic into LJ-entry-sized chunks, to add them here on LJ

I think it's cool that you're so concerned with Moira, Raven, etc. I'm considering doing a feminist reading of X-Mans for an upcoming conference panel next year, and so the stuff people have posted on Tumblr and sort of gently steering readers away from Moira-bashing and the like has been an eye-opener.

I love the girls, man. And I usually love the girls in my fandoms, even if I spend a lot of time writing about whatever ship I have that doesn't include them, but being in Torchwood/Who fandom recently kind of opened my eyes to the crazypants way people use casual misogyny in fandom and hate on the girls for no real reason. It was INTENSE in those fandoms, especially Torchwood where there are entire LJ communities dedicated to violently hating on Gwen Cooper for no legitimate reason. And Gwen was basically my favorite so that was lame. And while I know logically, in my head, that I've never been a basher, even when I don't like a particular character, I'm now hyper-sensitive to it because I never want someone to be as cranky about my treatment of their favorite characters as I get when people casually abuse Gwen

OK I have no idea what the hell fandom at large has to say about the ladies, or whatever.

But all I have to contribute is that all mentions of the word "ladies" automatically make me think of Demetri Martin's joke about how to make anything sound sketchy, just add "... ladies" at the end of it.

Anyway though, congrats on finishing the story!! It's great!! HOORAYS
