My Prius (Penelope) also beeps at me a lot. Although I don't have keyless start, so we've avoided that issue. Mostly the beeping doesn't bother me. Especially because it's usually me forgetting the key in the key home, and then trying to get out of the car. So I usually thank Penelope for reminding me.
The only time Penelope makes me absolutely crazy is when I have something heavy in the passenger seat that doesn't set off the beeps when I start the car, but instead waits until I can't possibly move the heavy thing and then Penelope decides, "Oh my gosh! There's an unbuckled person in the passenger seat! Alert! Alert! TIME TO PANIC!", and all my comments about how it's actually my school bag, so chill out, have no effect whatsoever on the manic beeping.
