Today we learned about witches, Nicole had her childhood dreams of US history dashed, we had awesome hot chocolate, and discovered a back entrance to our hotel ( Read more... )

I'm teaching "Witch of Blackbird Pond" to my seventh graders in March. Learn anything you think would be good to include?

Nothing that I can think of at the moment, but I'll ruminate on it for the next few days :D

Yay for Eugene not being dead! I always liked him.

He's kind of useless here for a bit--Donna takes over most of his responsibilities once she gets hired. But Ianto and Gwen thought he was competent enough to do the job, so they hired him when they first opened the place. Jack can't stand him, but Jack's kind of a snob and Eugene has sort of a hero-worship thing going on about Gwen and Jack both.

I am glad that I have thought about this in depth.

Eugene! A Meat reference! Andy! Ianto being Ianto! Will being adorable! Gwen's 'talking to kittens' voice! Jack being protective-and-shouty!

I have been a rather rubbish friend your email in a tab so as to respond to it, so you've seen how well that's gone. So, I shall kill two birds with one stone as say that you are brilliant and I can absolutely hear Donna sassing Jack, I can see the smirk on Ianto's face, I can imagine Gwen and Donna comparing notes on hats, shoes, and other accessories, much to Ianto's chagrin.

I am also glad to hear that the Epic Adventure is going rather, well, epically.

Dude, you have totes been busy. You are allowed not to e-mail me back immediately. I have been ADVENTURING as it is. And man, ADVENTURES are awesome! Today mcwonthelottery and I joined the FBI and solved mysteries. Well, we solved once mystery, then we got frustrated with birds and abandoned a hiker to die in the woods.

But that's for an LJ entry later.

I reeeaaallly need to write, you know, actual things that have deadlines, but I am obsessed. OBSESSED. I am thinking, "Hm, maybe Josh and Donna work with Will. And clearly Elsie needs to visit. And now, obvs, Neal and Peter and Elizabeth from White Collar need to drop by on vacation. Maybe Toby left Neal and Peter in charge of the original bakery! And The Doctor and Rose are clearly Jack's famous, dead, philanthropist parents! And Tosh and Owen are Jack's friends who work for the charitable organization he funds in his parents' honor!"

I am crazy. CRAZY.

I have never seen White Collar. Obviously, this must change.

You've cast the AU! I love it!

If you're crazy, I don't want to be sane.

I'm really interested in your hairdressers AU. It seems like a happy place--everything's so angst-free and well-written. Friended you, hope you don't mind. :)

Ahahaha, thanks! I am kind of lol-ing at the "well-written" part because this is mostly something that I write when I am brain-dead from writing other things and it's a bit silly. BUT THANK YOU! And I obvs friended you back.

(Warning: All I talk about is The Bookstore where I work. It gets a little tedious. Even for me.)

But yes, angst-free is kind of the key, here. Everyone lives normal, boring lives, and the angstiest thing that happens is Ianto being a workaholic. Woo hoo!
