Guuuuuuuuys! Guess what I did yesterday! I saw suchthefangirl!

She's in Boston visiting her BFF, so I drove up Saturday morning (after spending Friday night with The Boy) and we went on a museum murder mystery thingy and then sat in a restaurant until they kicked us out at eleven pm! Also with us was lordessrenegade who is pretty much AWESOME and we clearly friended each ( Read more... )

It's not self-indulgent OR awful! You made me like Gwen. Clearly you have some kind of special magical powers.

In fact, I'll have it back to you tomorrow sometime now that my week has stopped being rubbish and busy and slightly manic.

I MADE MYSELF LIKE GWEN, TOO. idefk why I decided that I should write a gen fic from Gwen's POV, but ever since I finished, I've developed a total fondness for Gwen that I never had before. Until I watch an episode and remember how annoying she is.Also, take your time! I wasn't trying to lay guilt on or anything. To be honest, my week has been so crazy that I didn't even realize a whole week had passed until I read an e-mail from someone else making fun of one of my typos and boggled at the date ( ... )

I know, right? The Gwen that lives in my head, I like. She's not fixated on Jack, doesn't try to fix everything and everyone, takes Ianto shoe-shopping with her so she doesn't make bad life choices. And then I watch the bloody show. It's not a venomous, needle-spitting hatred, just...more a resigned and annoyed, 'Oh for the love of...SHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUP, Gwen!'

Anyway. No, I didn't think you were -- that was more for me, so I remember not to take forever about it. This is why I'm not more into fandom-y things. I take forever with them. But, this year, I WILL FINISH the bloody violinist!AU.

We should! (But if we wait until I'm not crazy from school, it'll be a while. Pick a weekend, I'll make it work.)

Man, I am awesome at replying to comments in a timely fashion!

Re: Gwen: I totes agree. I WANT to love Gwen. But then I turn on the teevee and she is lecturing the team about how they don't have relationships so she's better than them, except, oh wait, two of them do, but Gwen is totes better than them anyway BECAUSE SHE LOVES RHYS!!!11!

(I totally wrote a scene for my fic that is post-"Meat," but ended up editing it out because it was already so long and post-"Sleeper" seemed like a good place to end it. I also wrote a post-"Something Borrowed" scene. These will be on the dvd special features. Of my fic. Can you tell the exhaustion has hit?)

Anyway. What else was I going to talk about? OH! VIOLINIST!AU. I WILL SERIOUSLY MARRY YOU IF YOU FINISH THIS. I still re-read bits of it and just grin like a madwoman ( ... )

I have to admit, we totally stole that from suchthefangirl, who disappeared into the museum with her friends while we were sitting on the steps. She ran back out to tell us they were going to the bathroom and said (and I am pretty sure it was her and not me or lordessrenegade), "I just didn't want you to think I was defriending you in real life."

It sort of became the slang of the night, after that XD

I'm totally a bad person who hasn't even glanced at your fic yet. But I will. I just wrote it in my to do list for the week. I'm on it, yo. A week after the fact. Like you do. Um.

That's okay! Only one person has gotten back to me thus far, so don't feel bad.

ALSO! I meant to text or e-mail you earlier this week and forgot, but GUESS WHERE I HAD DINNER ON SATURDAY NIGHT?

The same place we had breakfast the morning I was at your place.

I was like, five blocks away from you! If I didn't have to work Sunday afternoon, I totally would have called and imposed myself on you again for hanging out times.

Dude, when I read that you had been in Boston I was like "WTF?! Why didn't that bitch call me?" But on the other hand I was NOT in Boston that weekend, so I reckon it doesn't make much difference. But in the future! Whenever you are up here! We totally need to hang! Mostly fragment sentences followed by exclamation points!
