Guys, something pretty cool happened ten years ago today. The best show on television premiered.

The West Wing is my show. It is my favorite show of all time, it is a show I have had a love affair with for ten years now. The first four years of this show are filled with such heart and soul and beauty and hilarity and love that I can hardly stand

The idea of writing fic for The West Wing kind of scares the crap out of me. Sorkin's dialogue has such a specific cadence to it, and if I ever tried to come close to that I feel like I'd crash and burn and then be embarrassed.

That having been said, I think I'll give this a go, but if it comes out in total failure I'm going to burn it and deny it ever existed.

So, I was reading my friends list the other day and came across someone pimping out tenyearsoftww and was all kinds of confused. I was like "Wait, I read pocky_slash's journal ALL THE TIME. How did I not know about this!?! What is going wrong in the world!? Is she not pimping fun ficathons!?" And then I realized that you pimped it on the day that I was totally distracted by all the wonderful postings of quotes from the show and thus was only skimming other entries.
