Try Whole Foods for the mittens - they have crunchy winter gear like that in the homeopathic section of the store. At least, my Whole Foods does.

And I cannot wait for Advent! (Have I mentioned that I love Advent? Because I do)

I do believe you can get those sorts of mittens from LL Bean. I have rarely seen them offered elsewhere.

If you're ok with giving money to huge evil conglomerates, I definitely saw those mittens at Wal-Mart, for under $10.

I got mine off eBay, and they were Fairtrade too! (OK, I live in the UK but I refuse to believe that someone in the US isn't able to sell them on eBay too!)

thinsulate makes the best smoker's gloves, hands down. um, so to speak. I googled, and came up with Amazon, of all places:

There are some options, but if you're serious about having awesome warm mittens, the Thinsulate ones are the best.
