I really, seriously need to stop watching these movies non-stop. I doubt this is going to happen, especially because I just found out we get an HD channel that just shows crappy scifi/horror movies 24/7.

I had a similar reaction when I saw that Rob Lowe was in Stir of Echoes 2 (I also wanted to know if it was about ghosts or zombies because my friend and I did not know for sure). I only found out because I was watching either "The Twilight Zone" or "Dead Like Me" (there is no other reason for me to be watching the SciFi channel). Anyway, I'm assuming that movie was shot a long time ago. As you pointed out, Lowe is doing pretty well right now.

It's sort of about ghosts? Basically (and this premise is a lot weirder than the one in the original movie and doesn't make half as much sense) RL is a soldier who's squad accidently blows up a van housing a civilian Iraqi at a checkpoint in Iraq. He gets... hurt or something in the aftermath and is in the hospital and then sent home to Chicago and he keeps seeing spirits? And at first they're the spirits of the family in the van, but then it's this kid instead? And everyone thinks he's going crazy, but he needs to stop the spirits before they kill his family? It was... hard to follow, and that's coming from someone who's seen more of these movies than anyone on the planet.
Anyway, according to IMDB, it was filmed last summer, which makes sense because he didn't start on... that show I can't remember the name of until this season, right? So it was probably the last thing he did before he got steady work again.
Still, it makes me very happy. It harks back to the days of watching Atomic Train. Oh, Rob Lowe...

Oh yeah, I eventually did figure out that Stir of Echoes was about ghosts. It didn't seem quite hokey enough to be about zombies or werewolves or something.
And the show is "Brothers & Sisters," by the way. ;-) It's actually pretty good. I watched the pilot (because there are like eleventy actors I've enjoyed on other TV shows) and hated it then I started again when RL and Jason Lewis came on the show and it got good.
