Based on the marathon of Psych I watched in hospital right before I gave birth and barely rememberalt_universe_meOctober 15 2010, 02:19:32 UTC
"Dude, look at my shirt. It's so cool."
"Yeah, did you read the horoscope today? It totally said you were going to wear that shirt."
"That's because I'm psychic. Now come pretend that you're begrudgingly helping me to solve mysteries. Also there's this hot police chick I want to impress. With mah skillz."
The End.
...yeah, that's all I remember. I was on (legal) drugs, okay?

LAKSJFIOAWEJFLK YOU WIN THE FEST. YOUR PRIZE IS I'M GOING TO MARRY YOU, BUT I AM GOING TO DIE FROM LAUGHING BEFORE I GET THE CHANCE TO MARRY YOU, SO YOUR REAL PRIZE IS NOT HAVING TO MARRY ME.

They were tied to chairs back to back. No real reason, just that it happens in fic for every show where people solve crimes, and usually instigates a few solid minutes of Oversharing between the characters. "I have something I need to tell you," Shawn/Shaun/Sean said.
"What?"
"I don't even know which one of us is Dule Hill."
I started laughing here and COULD NOT STOP. HOW IS THIS IN CHARACTER? THIS IS SO IN CHARACTER.
Re: Charlie Young Solvin' Crimes and StuffliviapennOctober 15 2010, 05:55:22 UTC
THIS.
THIS.
THIS IS ACTUALLY KIND OF REALLY IN CHARACTER.
"Dule Hill wouldn't last eight minutes on a mountain."
WHY CAN I HEAR GUS SAYING THAT.
(Also, in case you wondered, there was totally an episode where they were tied back to back in chairs and rocked back and forth and knocked over the chairs and it didn't do anything, because that never does anything.)
ANYWAY THIS IS AWESOME AND YOU SHOULD FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF FOR WRITING IT. :D

Yes, I'm replying to this again even though I told you on twitter how much I loved it. Now I'm incognito so it's like super extra special or something.
This is so amazingly in character that it's hilarious. To the point that I want you to watch the show just so you can actually write fic for it. They don't even have to sleep together, I promise. Just get into Ridiculous Situations and go on tangents about which one of them is Dule Hill.

I LOVE IT SO VERY MUCH THAT YOU ASSUMED THAT DULE HILL IS THE LEAD AND THAT HE'S THE PSYCHIC!
The other bits of this are so right: Gus is adorable; Shawn and Gus are married; fandom fails at spelling Shawn's name correctly (repeatedly); every episode is about a wacky criminal case involving some sort of theme.
This is the epitome of fannish osmosis! I want to do Snoopy Dances around it!
"Aha!" The guy whose name I think is Shawn says with over-the-top delivery. "There is a presence here." He shapes the air as if outlining a person. "She's telling me something
