Alan fills out postcards with birth announcements the evening Kira is born. Felicity is blissfully passed out in her hospital room, Kira is being fed, and Alan and Danny were told to wait another hour and they'd get to see the baby again. After sending Tristan home and giving Rajiv money to buy lunch, Alan pulls out the cards Danny bought on a whim the week beforehand ( ... )

Thanks! Danny's parents are pretty much jerks, but Alan has made a habit of trying to reach out to them for the past few years so... yes XD

It's cute and sad all at once. I haven't kept up with Danny and Alan stuff (mostly because I was struggling with my own nano) but I do plan to go back and read it through.

Oh wow, ouch. Poor Danny! And yet again, Alan proves himself to be a totally fascinating character.

Alan just feels so badly that Danny didn't have the kind of support that he had growing up. He wants to make it all better and, for some reason, thinks that he can turn Danny's parents around on the whole gay thing. :\

But I'm glad you liked it! ♥

Eeeeeeeeeee! OH ALAN. He tries so hard and wants so desperately for Danny's parents to get their heads out of their asses and it just breaks my heart. And Danny would be so furious! But sad and resigned and would love Alan for trying, too. *squeezes them ALL*

Oh man, one of these days I'm going to write the second part of the story where Danny's mother shows up at their apartment, because it is going to be EPICALLY RIDICULOUS.

Anyway, awwww, I'm glad you liked this ♥
