Sam wants to save the environment, save the whales, save the world, save his sanity, give homes to the homeless, food to the hungry, patience to the frustrated, voice to the meek, compassion to stricken, propolsion to the driven, direction to the lost, fire to the passionate, inspiration to the masses, and meaning to life.
When, at the end of the day, he's written a sentence--a good sentence, a strong sentence, one that will hold up through the ages, one that makes the pit of his stomach feel warm and his body feel energized--he feels like he's one step closer to that goal.
