I just saw Gridlock and cried when Boe died. I cried again when I read this.

Lovely. Very well-written, and I sympathize so much with the FoB/Jack here. I was expecting just his musings at first, but I love how you made this an active scene with Novice Hame.

Glad to see someone else likes the idea of Jack as the FoB. It adds so much to that death scene in "Gridlock," and honestly, dying by his oldest friend--it's not a bad way to go for our beloved Jack.

I imagine that the Face of Boe (Jack or not) has found his last real friend in Hame who's there for him to the end ^^ Even if she took it upon her as a way of repenting you know... she loved him and admired him etc.

I love theidea with Jack as FoB... I don't care if some things are weird or doesn't make sense with it... you never know with that old Face (or with the Jack we know for that matter) much could be a PR stunt, travling back and forth in time etc.
But yeah, cominging my two favourite characters like that makes my fangirly heart happy ^^
